Medical Evacuation and Repatriation

This coverage includes reimbursement for non-recoverable expenses due to trip cancellations, curtailments, or postponements caused by injuries, natural disasters, disease outbreaks, pandemics, or insolvency of travel providers. Additionally, you are also covered if there are significant travel delays, or if terrorist activities deter you from travelling after your coverage starts.

Direct Asia Travel Insurance Refund & Cancellation

Learn how to cancel your travel insurance policy with Direct Asia, as well as the conditions for refund and cancellation.

A single trip policy can be cancelled at any time before the insurance period starts by you or by Direct Asia by providing a notice of cancellation to the other party.

In the case of annual policies, a 7-day written notice is required from either side to cancel. However, you will be required to return the balance of premium for the whole policy. Direct Asia will compute your refund according to this formula:

Premium refund = Premium x unexpired days of period of insurance / Original days of period of insurance

You will not receive any refunds of premium if:

  • You have made a claim with your Direct Asia Travel Insurance
  • You have not returned Direct Asia the certificate of insurance
  • You owe Direct Asia any outstanding money
  • The refund amount is lesser or equal to the cancellation fee of $10 (inclusive of GST)

For both per trip and annual policies, the minimum amount for refund is $10 (inclusive of GST). Refunds are processed exclusively via PayNow or bank transfer.
