Leisure travel is well and truly enjoying a revival, with Singstat data showing Singapore residents making a total of over 9.3 million outbound departures in 2023.

Now that we are starting 2025, you may already be dreaming of the vacation days you plan to have throughout the year. When planning your travel itinerary, don’t forget to consider an essential piece of equipment – your luggage case.

You’ll want something that is light to carry, yet sturdy enough to keep your belongings safe from the rigours of travel. Of course, any good luggage should also have a strong lock to resist theft and tampering.

Good quality luggage from reputable brands can be startlingly expensive, but the elevated quality, construction and design are hard to resist. Waiting for a sale to buy upper-tier luggage is a good tactic – if you have the time and the luck for it!

Another way to get your hands on some quality travel luggage – for free! – is to check the latest credit card offers. Luggage cases remain a popular item in many credit card promotional drives in Singapore, so you can easily score yourself a piece or two as part of your welcome gifts.

We’ve gathered the latest credit card promos with free luggage and compiled them in this article. Have a look!

Choosing the best option for you

There are several options for you to score some brand-new travel luggage – and for free, to boot! Of course, you shouldn’t simply choose a credit card based solely on the luggage or any free item from their promotional campaigns.

Instead, you should study each of these cards in detail to see which one suits you, especially in terms of your budget and what you tend to spend on.

You will also want to check the rewards, perks and privileges offered, as they vary according to the issuing bank. Importantly, be sure to check the terms and conditions that come with the credit card, including interest rates, fees and charges – this will help you avoid any unpleasant surprises down the road.
