For the whole month of March, luxury hotel Shangri-La Singapore is celebrating women with a specially curated high tea set.

Available daily from 3pm to 5pm at The Lobby Lounge, the EmpoweHer Afternoon Tea Set serves up an exquisite tea set consisting of 15 items.

The menu spans a delightful assortment of sweets, savouries and local favourites, featuring such delights as macarons, financiers, finger sandwiches, quiches and Asian kuehs. High tea must-haves, scones and condiments, are also included. There are also keto-friendly and vegetarian menus you can choose from.

Priced at S$88 ++, this massive tea set is sized for two, so bring your bestie along. Oh and also, S$3 from every set sold goes towards United Women Singapore, which is dedicated to furthering gender equality.

The Fullerton Hotel and The Fullerton Bay Hotel continues its tradition of supporting women’s causes, this year with Purple Afternoon Tea — named after the hue that symbolises justice, dignity. and efforts to achieve gender equality. For every order, S$5 will be donated to United Women Singapore.

The 13-item set comprises a selection of sweets such as lavendar raspberry cake, cassis dulce ivory chocolate tart, balanced with savoury treats like heirloom beetroot smoked calmon with caviar and capers, cajun smoked duck and summer truffle egg mayonnaise. Topping the menu off is classic and raisin scones, served with clotted cream and strawberry jam.

There are also other menus including vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, dairy-free, no shellfish, nut-free, gluten-free.

You can also look forward to a plethora of bacha coffee, cassic coffee blends and TWG tea.

In celebration of The Summerhouse, they have added new creations by Head Chef Wendy.

We Are Women (S$18++) is a mouth-watering appetiser comprising crispy cauliflower florets drizzled with camembert sauce and topped off with paprika and almonds.

As for the main star, the Femme Fatale (S$38++), you'll be surprised by how it packs a punch. It is a pan-seared barramundi sitting on purple mashed potato and heirloom carrots, and you'l definitely leave the place wanting more!

Top off your meal with their White Peach Mousse (S$16++) that features a caramelised almond base with white sponge, made with peach jelly, matcha ganache, passionfruit coulis and toasted pistachio. This pastry creation is in collaboration with female entrepreneur Gwen Lim of Patisserie G.

These dishes are available from now till 31 March, and 10% of proceeds sold from these items will go to AWARE for the whole of March.
