💓MEGA Upsized Rewards💓: Choose a mega upsized gift for HIM - up to S$450 or HER - a Dyson Airwrap (worth S$859) this Valentine’s or get the DOUBLE the rewards total worth up to S$1,200 from select Citi, Standard Chartered and HSBC credit cards or choose between other exclusive rewards like an Apple iPad or Flujo Standing desk. 1. Dyson Airwrap

At up to several hundred dollars per visit, going to the salon for hair treatments don’t come cheap. Yet heat damage from daily routines can do a number on ladies’ hair, making such visits a necessity.

Tackle the root of the problem by gifting your special lady quality hair products, such as the Dyson Airwrap. Designed for gentle and effective hair care at home, the Airwrap allows drying, styling, curling and taming stubborn flyaways – all without causing excessive heat damage. This helps keep hair healthy for longer, cutting down on costly and time-consuming salon visits.

And speaking of saving time, did you know you can style and dry wet hair at the same time with the Dyson Airwap? This means less time spent getting ready in the mornings and on date nights.

2. A home coffee machine

Save your beloved from wasting time and money queueing for bad coffee every morning. Gift them a coffee machine this Valentine’s Day so they can continue enjoying their daily brew at just a fraction of the cost.

The best part is you won’t have to splurge on the latest, sleekest Nespresso machine (unless you want to!). Home brewing has become so popular that you can now get barista-standard home coffee machines for less than you may think.

Take for example, the Delonghi Dedica EC685. Retailing for under S$400, this compact marvel works with capsule or ground coffee, has fast heat-up time of 40 secs, and uses a 15 bar professional pump system for maximum flavour and aroma.

3. Apple Airpods 4

The latest-gen Airpods aren’t just for snooty fanboys anymore. The Apple Airpods 4 now comes with enhanced capabilities that make it great for a variety of uses, from entertainment at home or on the go, to work calls, online meetings, and pumping iron at the gym.

This is all thanks to its powerful new H2 chip that makes audio and calls clearer and better. But it’s the versatility that has got us hooked; with the ability to competently fulfil several roles, a pair of Apple Airpods 4 just might be the ideal gift this Valentine’s Day.

With a top-quality pair of earbuds that can do it all, you’ll save your beloved from having to buy multiple earbuds and headsets that will only end up underused.

4. A subscription to their favourite memberships

Here’s a gift that’ll regularly remind your partner of your love for them. Gift them a subscription for a service they often use, such as a gym membership, yoga class package, streaming services bundle or vouchers to their favourite restaurants.

Yes, it’s not the most romantic of gestures, but hey at least this ensures your money isn’t wasted on some frivolous knick knack that ends up gathering dust in the cupboard. Plus, this is a good and subtle way to help out your partner if they're struggling a bit with bills and other expenses.

5. An annual travel insurance plan

We know, we know. Buying your beloved insurance for Valentine’s Day ranks just above asking them to apply for the BTO flat together in lieu of a proposal. But hear us out.

Look, as a couple, you guys travel, right? (If you don’t, give it a go. It’s a wonderful way to learn about each other, even things you don’t want to know!) An annual travel insurance plan covers all trips taken for a period of 12 months, but you need only pay once. This means you get to enjoy significant savings over buying an individual travel plan each time you travel.

There are, of course, limitations, such as zone of travel (you will not be covered for, say, Asia Pacific if you buy a plan for Southeast Asia only) and duration of each trip (most annual plans have a limit of 30 days per trip).

Nonetheless, if you and your partner take more than a few overseas trips in a year, and always within the same geographical zones, then an annual travel plan just makes sense. As a bonus, it’ll save you from fighting if something goes awry during your holiday.
