Bonus UNI$ with UOB Lady's Savings Account (up to 10 mpd)

From 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025, you can boost your miles earn rate to 10 mpd if you also have the UOB Lady's Savings Account. Depending on your Monthly Average Balance (MAB), you will be awarded bonus UNI$ of 5X, 10X or 15X per S$1 spent. This is on top of the UNI$ awarded on your preferred reward category(ies). Here's how it works:

Spending category(ies) UNI$ per S$5 spent

UOB Lady’s Savings Account MAB

Lady’s Savings Bonus UNI$ per S$5 spent

Total UNI$ per S$5 spent

10X UNI$

$10,000 to S$49,999

S$100,000 and above

15X UNI$

25X UNI$ (10 mpd)

There is no minimum spend required to earn bonus UNI$.

#2: Generous bonus rate spend cap

While the UOB Lady's Cards are capable of generating high miles earn rates, there's a limit to how far you can go.That's because the maximum bonus UNI$  you can earn per month is capped at the following:

  • UNI$1,800 (equivalent to S$1,000 spend) for UOB Lady's Card

  • UNI$3,600 (equivalent to S$2,000 spend) for UOB Lady's Solitaire Card

Still, these are generous bonus earn caps, considering spend caps apply to each card's bonus earn rates. Once the respective spend caps are hit for the month, you’ll no longer earn bonus 10X UNI$ (4 mpd). Instead, the rate will be reduced to the base 1X UNI$ (0.4 mpd), despite it being a bonus category.

That said, there is no spend cap on base miles earn rates – so you'll always be able to earn some miles at least. This explains why the UOB Lady’s Card and UOB Lady’s Solitaire Cards’ are effective as dedicated spend cards if you tend to spend a lot monthly. They're also ideal for big-ticket purchases as long as it qualifies as eligible spend.

So if you’ve been eyeing that designer bag from Tangs, this is your sign.

✨Nonetheless, for those who can afford truly affluent lifestyles, it might be worthwhile having another credit card to earn rewards on spending exceeding these limits.

#3: Up to US$100,000 complimentary travel insurance

If you refer to our comparison table above, this is one of the main perks the UOB Lady’s Solitaire Card has over the UOB Lady’s Card.Under this travel insurance policy, cardholders can expect:

  • Up to US$100,000 overseas medical expenses coverage for both sickness and injury

  • Emergency medical evacuation/return of mortal remains

  • Up to US$100 in-hospital cash benefit per day

  • Up to US$100 overseas COVID-19 diagnosis quarantine allowance

Since travelling has been back in full swing for a while now, everyone has been redeeming their miles accumulated since lockdown days. While there’s nothing wrong with buying travel insurance separately, having separate existing coverage definitely removes one less burden from your travel checklist.

However, do be cautious when buying travel insurance as a top-up to things like air tickets. Though you might be paying a low premium, it might not offer the specific coverage you need like protecting camera equipment, laptops, phones, and others.

💡 Pro-tip: Purchase travel insurance with coverage for frequent flyer miles and points. This keeps your miles protected in the event of any unforeseen circumstances.

#4: Complimentary e-Commerce protection

Available for both UOB Lady’s Card and UOB Lady’s Solitaire Card, this perk should cater more towards our shopaholic women out there. 🛒🛍️With the prevalence of online shopping nowadays, it’s easy to do all your retail therapy with a few mouse clicks from the comfort of your home. But that’s why all the more, it’s important to make sure your precious online purchases make their way safely to your doorstep!

But, for ladies who are fans of Buy-Now-Pay-Later schemes, the UOB Lady’s Solitaire offers an additional benefit of 0% LuxePay. This perk allows you to pay off your transactions over 6- to 12-month interest-free payment plans.

💡 Pro-tip: Another credit card that offers e-Commerce protection is the OCBC Titanium Rewards Card.

💡 Pro-tip:
All of the UOB Lady’s Cards can also be paired with the UOB One Account. Spend a minimum of S$500 monthly and credit a minimum S$1,600 monthly salary to earn at least 3.85% p.a. interest easily.

The maximum attainable interest earned in the UOB One Account is 6.00% p.a. on balances between S$75,000 and S$150,000.

Besides that, pairing your UOB Lady's Cards with the UOB Lady's Savings account earns you an additional 15X UNI$ per S$5 (6 mpd) spend. Essentially, you'll be netting a total of up to 25X UNI$ per S$5 (10 mpd) on your preferred category spend – the highest miles earn rate out of any miles card on the market currently!

#5: Attractive sign-up rewards

Who doesn't love a good credit card reward? We know we do!So you best believe we're capitalising on UOB Lady's Cards' attractive sign-up rewards available for a limited time only.

How to calculate UNI$?

Now, this is a question specific to UOB credit cards, but it’s an essential query to address. When are UNI$ usually credited?

Base 1X UNI$: Credited when transactions post, usually within 1 - 3 working days

Bonus 14X UNI$: Credited by end of the following calendar month

The base 1X UNI$ per S$5 spend is credited when the transaction posts, usually within one to three working days. Subsequently, the bonus 14X UNI$ per S$5 spend will be credited by the end of the calendar month after the transaction.UNI$ are calculated in blocks of S$5, rounded down to the nearest S$5. However, note that the bonus UNI$ points are only calculated once, not per transaction.

Here are some calculations to illustrate:

Spend amount

Base 1X UNI$

Bonus 9X UNI$

S$4.99

0

Step #1
$4.99 + $5.99 + $14.99 + $15.99 + $20.99 = S$62.95 ≈ S$60 (rounded down to nearest S$5)

Step #2
S$60 / S$5 = 12 times

Step #3
12 x 14X UNI$ = 168X UNI$

S$5.99

1

S$14.99

2

S$15.99

3

S$20.99

4

Total UNI$ points earned

10 base UNI$

168 bonus UNI$

In total, this cardholder will earn 178 UNI$; and since 1 UNI$ = 2 miles, this is equivalent to 356 miles. Basically, as long as you round down your transactions to the nearest S$5 block, calculating your base and bonus UNI$ shouldn’t be too much of a problem.

Admittedly, UOB’s approach to calculating UNI$ points earned is on the trickier and more troublesome side. But is it enough of a deterrence to convince you against getting a UOB Lady Card for yourself?

That's up to you to decide.
