3) Binary — An Asian-Western fusion of local flavours

For their National Day specials, Binary is marking the festivities with local flavour highlights infused with Asian culinary approaches and Western mixology classics. Available as ala carte orders, their cuisine spread comprises staples like Jumbo Chicken Satay (S$18++) and interesting cocktail twists like Milo-tini (S$24++).

The Milo-tini is described as a local take on the Manhattan with toasty malted notes of Milo balanced with the sweet hints of vanilla, oak and caramel of Old Forester Bourbon.

For set menus, the gastro-bar has also curated the perfect National Day combo for two pax (S$57++) available between 12pm to 5pm. Within this order, guests can enjoy the following dishes:

4) CÉ LA VI — A one-night BBQ special accompanied by fun activities and live DJ entertainment

Known as one of Singapore’s top rooftop gastro-pub, Cé La Vi is ringing in Singapore’s birthday in style with loads of BBQ delights, fun activities and local DJ performances to party the night away.

For one night only, guests can saunter up to the rooftop Club Lounge to tuck into their Classic BBQ Platter (S$155++) or Surf & Turf BBQ Platter (S$180++). 5) Peach Blossoms — Handcrafted moon cake sets pre-order

Not to be confused with Peach Garden, celebrate Mooncake Festival early this year with some mooncake delicacies. 

Presenting an epicurean medley of delectable flavours, customers can expect signatures like their Charcoal Black Sesame Paste with Melon Seeds and Gold Dust (S$88), unique renditions like Lychee with Wolfberries (S$85), along with classics like Single Yolk (S$85) and Double Yolk with White Lotus Paste (S$88). In particular, the latter two contain less sugar, making them ideal for those with sugary restrictions.

They’re also doing a major step-up for sustainability by utilising paper board and medium-density fibreboard (MDF) to construct their four-tier lantern tower mooncake box.

3) Google Pay — An utterly otter-able in-app game

Although otters might not be our national mascot, the endearing family of otters that roam our city’s waterways have ostensibly assumed the role; so much so that even Google Pay agrees. Starting from 1 August, Google Pay welcomes an otter-able in-app game addition called Lion City Cake in view of National Day.
