💡Pro-tip: Download the Kakao T app before you depart for Korea. Once you change your phone's SIM card to a local Korean SIM card, you might not be able to receive the verification SMS to complete your Kakao account registration – even if you choose to retain your original number. As a result, you won't be able to use the app to book any taxis.

But if you're using a portable Wi-Fi Egg, it should be fine to download and register for a Kakao account even when you’re already in Korea.

How to get around Jeju Island

Alternatively, you can opt for the Jeju City Tour Bus, which covers locations near to the city centre. There are two routes offered – a city route and a coastal route – which will provide you with plenty to see and explore. This might include catching a bus from the nearest main road where buses run more frequently to Seogwipo. Alternatively, from Seogwipo City, walk about 150 metres to Jungang Rotary. Take Bus 624 and ride for 41 stops until you reach Hueree Park. 

Sanghyowon Arboretum

Alternatively, from Seogwipo City, walk about 180 metres to Jungang Rotary (East). Take Bus 610-1 and ride for 22 stops to Memorial Cemetery Plaza. Then, walk for about 200 metres to Sanghyowon Arboretum.

Wonang Falls

Jeju Rail Bike

Udo-Myeon

After that, make your way to Udo-Myeon island by way of Udo Cheonjin Port in Jeju. Once there, you can spend the rest of your day in the island's white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters, ideal for snorkelling and diving. Udo-Myeon is also famous for its peanut products, so be sure to try some local peanut ice cream and enjoy the charming rural scenery. However, if you're allergic to peanuts, be mindful of the local delicacies.

Alternatively, you can depart from the Jeju City Terminal or the airport by taking bus 150-1 or 255. These buses will stop at the Provincial Office (New Jeju Rotary), Halla Hospital, and the Donggwang Transfer Center. From there, get off at the Osulloc stop for a direct route to the O’Sulloc Tea Museum and Garden.

Alternatively, from Jeju City Hall, walk to the nearby bus stop, board Bus 365-1 to Cheju Halla University, and get off at Jungang-ro (Hyundae Pharmacy). A short walk from there will take you directly to the Jungang Underground Shopping Centre.

Jeju Chilsung-ro Shopping Street

After exploring the Jungang Underground Shopping Centre, you can also visit the nearby Jeju Chilsung-ro Shopping Street. This shopping destination is a hotspot for trendy labels, popular among the hip and fashionable crowd. Tap-dong street

To end your 7th day itinerary, don't forget to visit Tap-dong Street in downtown Jeju, a popular shopping district located near Jeju Port. Head here to find shops selling local handicrafts, fashion, and cosmetics, interspersed with a smattering of bars and restaurants.
