A bumper crop of eight new projects, spread over seven locations, have been announced for the HDB BTO December 2023 launch. Here are all the key details you need to know.
The HDB BTO launch in December 2023 will encompass 6,057 flats across eight projects.
Spread over seven locations – Bedok, Bishan, Bukit Merah, Bukit Panjang, Jurong West, Queenstown and Woodlands – this bumper crop of new flats should help alleviate pent-up demand built up over construction delays experienced during the pandemic. In fact, four of the projects have a waiting time of four years or less.
The upcoming launch will feature an array of different flat types, ranging from 2-room Flexi to 3-room, 4-room and 5-room unit types. Additionally, a tranche of Community Care Apartments will also be released in Bedok.

The Chai Chee Green BTO project in Bedok comprises seven residential blocks of 15 storeys and two multi-storey car park (MSCP) blocks. It has 1,234 units of 3-room, 3-room, 4-room and 5-room flats as well as Community Care Apartments.
Chai Chee Green BTO will also feature eco-friendly features such as separate chutes for recyclable waste, regnerative lifts to reduce energy consumption, bicycle stands, parking spaces for electric vehicles, and more. It will also have smart solutions for smart home solutions and smart lighting in common areas to reduce energy consumption.
The nearest MRT is Bedok North MRT station, which lies to the northwest, over the Pan-Island Expressway. Another option – located in the southeast – is Bedok MRT Station (not shown) and Bedok Bus Interchange; the unofficial town hub will probably end up being the preferred choice of public transport.
There are also smaller neighbourhood centres located within the vicinity for added convenience.

The Sin Ming Residences BTO in Bishan will see 732 new units of 3-room and 4-room flats added to Sin Ming Road, off Marymount Road. This location is near to three MRT stations – Upper Thomson, Marymount, and the Bishan interchange – although none of them offers doorstep access.
What’s interesting is the high number of private developments in the vicinity, which may grant a halo effect in terms of valuations, but only time will tell.
Perhaps the main draw here is the lively Bishan transport which features shopping, sporting and leisure options via Junction 8 shopping mall and the nearby sports and swimming complex.

A rectangular plot sandwiched between the Alexandra Canal and Alexandra Road has been earmarked for the Alexandra Peaks BTO project that would see the addition of 904 units of 2-room Flexi, 3-room and 4-room flats.
Thanks to its superb location, accessibility, and proximity to MRT stations, the Alexandra Peaks BTO will likely be categorised as a Prime Location Housing (PLH) flat.

While two BTO projects have been listed for Woodlands, both are basically at the same location, just separated by a single street; see the two screenshots above.
In any case, both projects are well situated, with easy access to the Woodlands integrated hub comprising Woodlands MRT station and bus interchange, Causeway Point mall and Woodlands Civic Centre. In the other direction is a sports and swimming complex, along with neighbourhood shopping centre Marsiling Mall.
Adding further convenience and variety are a variety of schools, community clubs, green spaces and park connectors. Also, the Causeway is close by if you fancy a jaunt into Johor Bahru.
How to apply for the Dec 2023 HDB BTO flats
To participate in the December 2023 BTO launch, you must apply for the HDB Flat Eligibility (HFE) letter by 11 November 2023, as it takes at least a month for HDB to process the HFE letter and all relevant documents.

Will there be an upcoming HDB SBF in December 2023?
There won't be an HDB SBF sales exercise in December 2023, and the next SBF exercise will happen in 2024.
