With close to 4,000 units launched as part of the February 2022 BTO exercise, there are some developments that will definitely be hot this launch. They include units in Kallang/Whampoa launched under the prime location model.
As the new year comes around, HDB has kickstarted its first BTO exercise of the year during the February 2022 launch.
A whopping total of 3,953 units are up for grabs, from two-room Flexi all the way to five-room flats.
The February’s tranche is spread over six projects, offering a healthy mix of non-mature estates like Yishun and Tengah, and mature estates including Kallang/Whampoa and Geylang.
The application period for these projects starts today (17 Feb) and will end on 23 February 2022, 11:59pm.

Which February 2022 BTO project should you keep an eye out for?
The two developments that have definitely caught the eye of the general public are Dakota Crest and King Geroge’s Heights, located at Geylang and Kallang/Whampoa respectively.
Aside from having a myriad of amenities in close proximity, these locations are also near to several MRT stations, making them extremely accessible and convenient.
However, good things only come to those who wait. They both coincidentally take the longest to build, with an estimated completion time of up to 63 months (that’s essentially five years!), excluding the Delivery Posession Date (DPD) that could take up to two years more.
Because these developments are located in mature estates, you can expect to fork out a hefty sum for them. For a four-room flat, the units in both developments go up to about S$700,000 — rather pricey for younger couples who may not be financially stable yet.
