updated: Nov 18, 2024
From 3 January 2024, all Singapore households will receive another S$500 worth of Community Development Council (CDC) vouchers.
[Update!] ICYMI: Since June, one individual from each Singaporean household can start claiming an additional S$300 in CDC vouchers. This brings us to a total of S$800 worth of CDC vouchers in 2024 so far.
Every Singaporean household is entitled to a total of S$500 CDC vouchers, starting today, 3 January 2024. The value of these vouchers will be split equally at S$250 each, to be spent at participating heartland merchants and hawkers or participating supermarkets.
All CDC vouchers are to be collected and spent by 31 December 2024
Every Singaporean household can claim their S$300 worth of CDC vouchers, S$150 of which can be redeemed at participating supermarkets, with new additions being Giant and Ang Mo Supermarket outlets.
The five participating supermarkets include FairPrice, Sheng Siong, Prime, Hao Mart, and U Stars. Together, they have over 300 outlets across Singapore.
The remaining S$150 can be redeemed at over 20,000 participating hawkers and heartland merchants across the island.
But if you want to spend your CDC vouchers elsewhere, fret not. Our compilation of other best CDC-approved places and businesses below is sure to give you some inspiration.
Get 10x chances to win S$50,000 when you apply for participating Credit Cards. Applying for multiple products means more Cash Quest Chances! Plus, download the SingSaver App and log in with the same email used during product application to earn 20 additional chances! Valid till 22 December 2024. T&Cs apply.
CDC vouchers, or Community Development Council vouchers, are a government initiative started to alleviate the cost-of-living burdens of Singaporean households in times of inflation, recession, and rising GST.
Available in S$2, S$5, and S$10 denominations for hawkers and merchants and S$5 and S$10 denominations for supermarkets, these vouchers may be redeemed either physically or electronically.
All of this has been a timely relief given the rising living costs for Singaporean households, especially for lower-income households.
To claim the new 2024 batch of CDC vouchers, please click here. Do note that they have to be claimed and used by 31 December 2024.
π‘ Fun fact: There's a separate scheme – the GST-V scheme – catered to cushion the GST hikes from 7% to 9% in 2023 and 2024 in four areas: Essentials, MediSave (for seniors), U-Save (for utilities) and S&CC rebate.
For HDB and some private properties: In 2023, this cash payout will increase from S$500 to S$700, and subsequently S$850 in 2024.
For homes with annual values from S$13,000 to S$21,000: In 2023, this cash payout will only increase from S$250 to S$350 in 2023, and S$450 in 2024.

Every Singaporean household can look forward to claiming S$500 in CDC vouchers in 2024.
In the meantime, if you want to claim your CDC vouchers ASAP, here’s how to do it.
Every Singaporean household is eligible for these vouchers.
You can easily redeem them here (You will need a valid Singpass account to redeem these vouchers).
This link is meant to be shared with members of your household (members sharing the same address as you). You can easily share it through available communication channels such as SMS, WhatsApp or Telegram.
Once you have redeemed your vouchers, you will be given a unique link that is meant to be shared with members of your household. When this link is accessed, you’ll be led to an intuitive interface to select which CDC vouchers you want to use.
Next, simply tap the amount you’d like to spend (the vouchers come in denominations of S$2, S$5 and S$10 for hawkers and merchants and S$5 and S$10 denominations for supermarkets) and show the QR code that is presented to your desired vendor.
Do note that similar to other voucher variants, there will not be any change if your amount spent is less than the voucher’s value.
In a rhetorical scenario, if you were to be charged an amount of S$9, and the only available denomination is S$10, you will not receive any monetary change. However, if you were to be charged with a bill of S$11 and you choose to redeem a S$10 voucher, you will need to top-up an additional dollar using cash.
Before we dive into the specifics, here’s an overview of the types of participating businesses that will gladly accept your CDC vouchers:
Food and beverage businesses e.g. hawker centres, food courts, coffee shops, cafes, bakeries
Mama/provision shops, minimarts, and selected supermarkets
Hair salons and barber shops
Dental clinics and optical shops
Beauty parlours and spa services
Electronic stores and photo-printing shops
Pet shops
Florists
While these are just some broad categories, the availability of merchants and services largely depends on your locale. For a comprehensive list of participating merchants, the CDC Go Where website will be your best bet.
π‘ Pro-tip: If you’re looking for a specific unit or stall, it’s probably easier to head down and identify the stall itself than trying to identify the unit number (e.g. #01-32, #01-33, etc.) through the online map. Simply walk up to the stall front and look out for the CDC voucher decal.
In order to locate eligible businesses within your area, there are two methods to search by: either ‘nearby’ or ‘by merchant’. Additionally, the search bar provided is extremely keyword sensitive.
When searching nearby, this will pull up the list of merchants within the neighbourhood or postal code you have entered.
When searching by merchants, this will pull up the list of merchants matching the keyword entered.
Note: The gowhere.gov.sg search bar is keyword-sensitive. Meaning to say, the merchant results featured to you will contain whatever keyword entered. Search results with the keyword only found in their addresses will not be brought up.
Examples of CDC merchant results when searching ‘Bukit Batok’ include:
Bukit Batok Teochew Cuisine Rest (Bukit Batok West Ave 6)
ITea (278 Bukit Batok East Ave 4)
Eatero (2 Bukit Batok St 23)
Durian Boy (Bukit Batok St 11)

Baker Talent (275 Bukit Batok East Ave 4)

Mission Bukit Batok Medical Clinic (Bukit Batok West Ave 5)
Q&M Dental Surgery (Bukit Batok West Ave 9)
Bukit Barkdog (Bukit Batok West Ave 6)
ABC Bargain Centre (Bukit Batok St 31)
As a result, it’d be best if you knew the exact name of the merchant you’re looking for. Otherwise, it might be easier to search for merchants by map for those browsing casually.

π‘ Pro-tip: Try searching for overlapping vendors approved by CDC and registered in the Fave app. If the merchant you’re looking for has both Fave promos and accepts CDC vouchers, it’ll be value discounts galore!
Again, if you've fully claimed your CDC Vouchers (so soon), remember to charge your transactions to a trusty cashback credit card to reap maximum rewards. π
Alternatively, unlimited cashback credit cards get the job done too. In fact, they're even more straightforward without any minimum spend or cashback cap. Best of all, they can earn cashback on (almost) all categories.
